Trees and Whiskey

New trees in the yard as of this last week. The poor guys had to put them all in in the 90 degree weather :) Matt just told them where they were supposed to go, and voila! They are planted by the time I come home from work...yeeessss!!

We love our new trees and actually got a good price on them with delivery and installation! I am just glad Matt and I didn't have to plant those huge things...our soil is like clay.

not much to say

-The weekend was excellent! A whole lot of relaxing, walking, biking, BBQing, watching the birds and ducks, and sunbathing!
-I think Whiskey is all dog-parked out...if dogs can ever be...I think we went once a day over the weekend.
-We are working on getting some bigger trees in the yard, so look out for some pictures.
-Hopefully soon we can get a retaining wall put up in the backyard, but it's such a muddy mess!
-We finally had a fire in our fire pit that has yet to be built. It was excellent!
-That's my life for the moment and I love it.

On the way home from our walk, we went past the park. I looked over and saw a woman running with headphones in and thought "wow, good for her." I then hear very loudly from the playcenter at the park "hey fat lady! you're chubby!!!! you're so fat!!!" I looked over at Matt and we were both appalled. This girl had to have been in maybe 4th grade... Mind you, the parents were just several feet away watching a baseball game, oblivious. So Matt marches up the hill with the dog, and the girl runs to her mom. He was going to tell the parents of the girl what she did, but he decided not to stir up trouble.

I am outraged. I am pretty sure the woman running didn't hear the insults, but it affected me. The day was so perfect until that moment. Somehow that girl thought it was actually ok to so something like that. How does that even happen??

Neah Bay

We had a great time in Neah Bay this weekend! It took a loooong time to get there, but it was soo worth it. We loved the company and the dogs were loving the freedom!

I think a run and bike ride are in order for the day. It is way too beautiful out to be inside anyway, especially since I was inside all weekend at work! I have to spend the next three days inside too, but am very excited for a weekend in Neah Bay for Katie's birthday. For those Twilight lovers out there, we may be stopping through Forks on the way back.

I love that my dog slides down the stairs in the mornings when he is still sleepy. His new thing is to run his face against the wall on the way down. This morning while we watched Matt get his lunch out for work and waited for the coffee to brew, Whiskey got up onto my lap and cuddled. That always makes my day! He's a little heavy, but its worth it!

This weekend I started orienting to Charge Nurse for my unit. I will be Relief Charge, meaning when they need someone to help out. I am so used to running around the unit on my feet, not planning staffing at the desk. I think once I get a few more days of training in, I will feel more confident. I didn't realize how hard it was to guess how many patients you will have at 3pm by 10am!

I can hear Jessie right now yelling "no, Whiskey! I need that! Don't eat it! Stop! Sit! Leave it!!!" hahahaha

Easter, Case, & Whiskey

We had a great Easter at our house this year! Sad to say, I only got pictures of Case and Whiskey battling for the treats.

-I was just informed that I cut an orange incorrectly, by my lovely husband
-I am loving this Blue Moon wheat ale that I am devouring
-When people around you are severely depressed, they suck the life out of you
-I didn't know that I could be called so many bad names within an hour of being at work...not to mention I was swatted and kicked at
-I had a LONG weekend and my feet hurt...YAY for a Monday off with awesome weather!
-The husband worked all weekend getting our shed built! It looks awesome! Please come over and look at it.
-My Mom's birthday is tomorrow, but I probably won't actually see her until next week
-We got our new patio dining set and I LOVE it!!
